The Centre for Constitutional Studies, in conjunction with the Parkland Institute, will be hosting Dr. David Boyd who will be explaining why the Canadian Constitution should be amended to recognize environmental rights and responsibilities. His latest book Cleaner, Greener, Healthier: A Prescription for Stronger Canadian Environmental Laws and Policies (UBC Press 2015), describes how recognizing the constitutional right to a healthy environment could have a transformative impact, empowering citizens, holding governments and industry accountable, and improving Canada’s green record. This event is co-sponsored by the Centre for Constitutional Studies and the Parkland Institute. It is free and open to the public.
